Research and Development
There is too little research and too few people working on alternative proteins compared to its importance. Our goal is to:
Produce open access work that will accelerate the progress of work being done both in industry and academia
Build the infrastructure to make it easy for other researchers to pursue these problems further (ex: establish clear benchmark datasets, experimental procedures for generating more data, etc)
Generate enthusiasm from people outside of the field to join our efforts!
Currently, we are focused on 2 projects, one focused on the metagenomic analysis of foods/improving microbial safety pipelines, and one focused on improving the proliferation and differentiation of cultivated seafood.
